The Worcester Red Sox, also known as the WooSox, began playing in 2021 as the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The team moved from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where they had been known as the PawSox for many years. Now based in Worcester, Massachusetts, they play at a modern ballpark called Polar Park. The move brought new energy to the team and gave fans in central Massachusetts a hometown club to cheer for. The WooSox is just one step below the major leagues, and every game is a chance to see future Red Sox stars in action.
Although the team is still relatively young in Worcester, it has quickly become a significant part of the city.
