Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Information
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers is an American Minor League Baseball team associated with High-A Central and the High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The team was founded in 1958 in Grand Chute, Wisconsin. The team plays its home games at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The stadium opened in 1995. before that, the Rattlers used to play their home games at Goodland Field from 1958 to 1994. Currently, the team is owned and operated by Third Base Ventures.
The Rattlers changed its name a few times during its initial period due to a change in sponsors. Their former names were Fox Cities Foxes (1958-1966) and Appleton Foxes (1967-1994). The official color theme for the Rattlers’ uniform includes white, silver, black, tan, and burgundy. All of the home and road games of the team are broadcast live through WNAM 1280 AM. The games can also be viewed on MiLB.TV. The primary mascot for the Rattlers is an anthropomorphic timber rattler snake called Fang.
The Rattlers have also served as a farm club for around six Major League Baseball franchises. So, the team has won nine Midwest League Championships and ten league titles. Rob Zerjav is currently the President and General Manager of the Rattlers, whereas Matt Erickson is the Manager.
