Top Rank Boxing Information

Top Rank, Inc. is a boxing promotional business formed by Jabir Herbert Muhammad and Bob Arum. It was founded in 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among the numerous world-class boxers promoted by Top Rank since its inception are Muhammad Ali, Alexis Argüello, Terence Crawford, and many more.

Superfights like Ali vs. Frazier II, Hagler vs. Leonard, Chávez vs. De La Hoya, Holyfield vs. Foreman, Foreman vs. Moorer, Leonard vs. Hearns, Hagler vs. Hearns, and both Ali vs. Spinks fights have all been promoted by the organization. 

In addition, the corporation advertised George Foreman's triumphant comeback to win back his world title in 1994, which ended with a knockout of IBF/WBA champion Michael Moorer on November 5.

Top Rank Boxing and an up-and-coming ESPN teamed together in the 1980s to bring regular boxing back to American television for the first time since 1964. On April 10, 1980, in Atlantic City, middleweight Frank Fletcher defeated Ben Serrano via unanimous decision to kick off the series.

Starting with Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn in July 2017 and continuing with two more shows in August, Top Rank launched a soft rollout of a new broadcasting arrangement with ESPN. Top Rank's new television relationship with ESPN started with Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn in July 2017, and two more bouts followed in August.
