Stockton Ports Information
The Stockton Ports are a baseball team that competes in the California League's Minor League Baseball and is the Oakland Athletics' Single-A affiliate. They take their name from the ports in Stockton, California, where they are located. The 2005-built Banner Island Ballpark, which can accommodate more than 5,000 fans, is the team's home field.
The Ports have won the California League title eleven times since their 1941 establishment as members. As an affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, the Ports relocated to Banner Island Ballpark in 2005. On September 14, 2008, the squad defeated the Lancaster JetHawks by a score of 9–3, claiming their eleventh-ever California League championship.
The Ports were folded into the Low-A West at the Low-A classification in 2021, coinciding with Major League Baseball's reorganization of Minor League Baseball. After being reclassified as a Single-A circuit in 2022, the Low-A West adopted the moniker of the California League, which the regional circuit had previously used before the 2021 restructuring.
