Santa Cruz Warriors Information
The Santa Cruz Warriors are a group of Golden State Warriors affiliates that play professional basketball in the National Basketball Association's G League out of Santa Cruz, California. Kaiser Permanente Arena is the Warriors' home arena.
The squad changed their name to the Santa Cruz Warriors before the 2012–13 season. This club is unique among NBA G League teams in that it has reached the championship game in each of the three seasons it has participated. They have also won titles in each of the leagues in which it has participated.
The Warriors joined the International Basketball Association (IBA) in 1995 and won the league title in 2001, the last year the league operated under Dave Joerger's leadership. The Warriors had the best record in the Western Conference in 2014–15, with a final record of 35–15.
They advanced to the Finals for the second year in a row and defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in straight games to win the G-League title, their first since 2007. Elliot Williams, who was named Finals MVP, scored 23 points in Game 2. The Santa Cruz Warriors were given Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins, two first-round rookie choices by the Golden State Warriors, on October 24, 2022, so they may continue to grow into their NBA careers.
