The Sacramento River Cats started playing baseball in 2000, and they quickly became one of the top teams in Minor League Baseball. That first year, they won a league title, bringing a lot of excitement to the city. The team plays at Sutter Health Park, which is right across the river from downtown Sacramento. The ballpark has great views, tasty food, and a fun, family-friendly vibe. The River Cats are known for giving fans a good time, whether it's their themed nights, fireworks shows, or just a close, hard-fought game.
Over the years, the team has won several championships and helped launch the careers of many future Major League players. They were previously affiliated with the Oakland A’s but switched to the San Francisco Giants in 2015.
