The Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball team plays for the University of Mississippi in basketball competition. SEC and NCAA Division I competition is where the Rebels participate. Tad Smith Coliseum on the Oxford campus was their home field for the 2015–16 season until their last game there on December 22, 2015. January 7, 2016, was The Pavilion's grand opening at Ole Miss, the Rebels' new on-campus arena.

Until his retirement on February 18, 2018, Andy Kennedy commanded the Rebels for 12 years. Under the rest of the 2017–18 season, Tony Madlock, who had previously worked as an assistant under Kennedy, took over as head coach. Kermit Davis, formerly of Middle Tennessee, was introduced to the school's administration on March 19, 2018, after being appointed head coach on March 15, 2018.

With a 2001 run to the Sweet Sixteen, Ole Miss has eight appearances in the NCAA tournament. On 11 occasions, the Rebels have taken part in the NIT. They reached the National Invitation Tournament Semifinals in 2008 and 2010 at Madison Square Garden. There have been five Rebel victories in the SEC Western Division.

In his sixth season, Davis was let go on February 24, 2023, due to the team's 2-13 conference record with two games still to play. Assistant Coach Win Case was the team's temporary coach for the rest of the season.
