New Hampshire Fisher Cats Information
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are a minor league baseball club based in Manchester, New Hampshire. The Toronto Blue Jays' big league club has a Double-A affiliate with this Eastern League club. The historic Gill Stadium, located in a residential area, was the site of the Fisher Cats' inaugural season of play in Manchester. Once known as Fisher Cats Ballpark and subsequently as Merchantsauto.com Stadium, the Fisher Cats have called Delta Dental Stadium their home since the 2005 season.
In 2004, the inaugural season for the team in New Hampshire following its relocation from New Haven, Connecticut (the franchise had previously won a championship when playing as the New Haven Ravens), the Fisher Cats captured the Eastern League title. After that, in 2011, the inaugural season donning their present red, white, and blue color scheme, they repeated as Eastern League winners in 2018 and again in 2011.
The Manchester Chicken Tenders will temporarily replace the New Hampshire Fisher Cats as the minor league baseball club from Manchester in 2021. The name change is a nod to the city's status as the chicken tender's original home. Diamond Baseball Holdings bought out the club in December 2023.
