NASCAR ARCA Racing Series Information
The ARCA Menards Series is a stock car series. It is the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America. The race is considered a semi-professional stock car racing used as a feeder series into the three NASCAR’s national touring series. It hosts events at a variety of tracks, including dirt tracks, road courses, and superspeedways. The series also has a longstanding relationship with NASCAR.
From 1986 until 1991, The ARCA Menards Series was known as the ARCA Permatex SuperCar Series; from 1993 until 1995, it was called the ARCA Hooters Supercar Series. From 1996 until 2000, the series was named the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series. It was also sponsored by a real estate company named “RE/MAX” as the ARCA RE/MAX Series from 2001-2009.
In 2010, a company, Menards, began to sponsor the series jointly with RE/MAX. The company became the lone presenting sponsor in 2011. Until 2019, the series was entitled the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
The ARCA Menards Series is known primarily for using veteran steel-bodied Generation 4 cars from the NASCAR Cup Series. The vehicles are used until they are several years old. Drivers who have been successful in winning the series title include Bret Holmes (2020), Christian Eckes (2019), Sheldon Creed (2018), Austin Theriault (2017), Chase Briscoe (2016), Grant Enfinger (2015), Mason Mitchell (2014), Frank Kimmel (2013), Chris Buescher (2012), Ty Dillon (2011), Patrick Sheltra (2010), and Justin Lofton (2009).
