Later, it became the Nextel All-Star Challenge from 2004 to 2007, the Sprint All-Star Race from 2008-2016, and the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race from 2017 to 2019. The All-Star Race is an annual NASCAR Cup Series stock care exhibition race. The race has been held at different venues since its inauguration, such as Atlanta Motor Speedway (1986), Charlotte Motor Speedway (1985, 1987, and 2019), and Bristol Motor Speedway. The first race of the NASCAR All-Star Race took place in 1985.
Jimmie Johnson is the driver with the most wins from the NASCAR All-Star Race with four. As a team, Hendrick Motorsports has won the most number of races, coming in at nine. Chevrolet has won 19 races so far, making them the manufacturer with the most wins at the event.
