NASCAR All-Star Friday Information
The NASCAR All-Star Race is an annual non-championship stock car exhibition race in the NASCAR Cup Series. It has changed names several times over the years. The race features drivers from the current season, drivers from the previous season, past event winners, and former NASCAR Cup Series champions who tried to complete the previous season.
In addition to the main event, drivers who do not qualify can qualify to race in the All-Star Open by winning one of its three rounds or receiving the most votes from fans. Since 2014, when it was first held, the Showdown race has taken place the night before the All-Star Race. Charlotte Motor Speedway president Marcus Smith rescheduled the All-Star Race qualifying to be held just before the main event to accommodate the event.
Bristol Motor Speedway hosted the event on July 15, 2020. In 2021, the All-Star Race occurred at https://ticketsonsale.com/venues/texas-motor-speedway Motor Speedway in the spring, marking another location shift. In 2023, the All-Star Race was hosted at North Wilkesboro Speedway in honor of NASCAR's 75th anniversary, marking another site shift.
