Mahoning Valley Scrappers Information
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers is an American collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League. The team is located in Niles, Ohio, a city in the valley of the Mahoning River. They play their home games at Eastwood Field. The Scrappers were part of Minor League Baseball from 1999-2020. The team was the Class A Short Season affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Scrappers won the New York-Penn League championship in 2004.
The Youngstown, Ohio station WBBW (Sports Radio 1240 AM) was the flagship radio station for the Scrappers as of the 2015 season. All games of the team were broadcast live. In January 2015, Austin Pollack was named the play-by-play broadcaster. Also, Warren, Ohio station WHTX (1570 AM) broadcast games from 2010 to 2012.
