The Louisville Bats are a Triple-A baseball team from Louisville, Kentucky. They are the top minor league team for the Cincinnati Reds. The Bats play their home games at Louisville Slugger Field, a stadium that opened in 2000. The team has been playing in Louisville since 1982, first known as the Redbirds, then the RiverBats, and finally becoming the Bats in 2002.
The team has won several championships over the years. They are known for helping players reach the major leagues. Many former Bats players have moved up to play for the Cincinnati Reds.
