Legacy Fighting Alliance Information
Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) is a mixed martial arts promotion broadcast on AXS TV up to LFA 77. It was formed as a hybrid of the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) and Legacy Fighting Championship 2017 merger. Ed Soares is the founder of the LFA. Titan Fighting Championships (Titan FC) was acquired by the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) on October 11, 2012. They aimed to combine the talent of both organizations under one unit. RFA aired its first show live on AXS TV with Resurrection Fighting Alliance 4: Griffin vs. Escudero on November 2, 2012.
Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC) was also an American mixed martial arts promotion based in Houston, Texas. It held events in Duluth, Tulsa, Allen, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. Notable fighters who have fought for the LFC include Valentina Shevchenko, Holly Holm, Sage Northcutt, Derrick Lewis, Thomas Almeida, Henry Briones, Tim Means, Ray Borg, Evangelista Santos, Jonathan Brookins, Leonard Garcia, Ferriera, and Carlos Diego.
Announced in September 2016, the Legacy FC and RFA would merge, creating a new Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion. The first event for LFA took place on January 13, 2017. Richard Odoms, Jeff Hughes, and Brett Martin are some of the LFA Heavyweight Champions. The LFA headquarters are based in Houston. Some notable past fighting events by LFA took place at Hartman Arena (Kansas), Sanford Pentagon (South Dakota), The Bomb Factory (Dallas), and Bell County Expo Center (Belton).
