Las Vegas Aviators Information
Formerly known as the 51s and the Stars, the Las Vegas Aviators play a Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics in the PCL. They can be found in the Las Vegas suburb of Summerlin South. Las Vegas Ballpark, inaugurated in 2019, is the home field for the Aviators and has a capacity of 10,000 fans. Cashman Field was the previous home of the team from 1983 to 2018.
Before they were called the Aviators, the team was known as the Las Vegas 51s. They’ve been around since 1983 and have seen many future MLB stars come through. Over the years, they’ve been connected to teams like the Dodgers, the Mets, and now the A’s. The name “Aviators” honors Howard Hughes, the famous pilot and businessman in Las Vegas. Their logo and stadium reflect this cool aviation theme. The team is known for big hits, warm weather games, and fun promotions, bringing families to the park.
In 2025, the Aviators are playing another full season in the Pacific Coast League. They face teams like the Sacramento River Cats, El Paso Chihuahuas, and Reno Aces. Home games at Las Vegas Ballpark include fireworks nights, $2 beer specials, and themed events for kids and adults. The team features top prospects from the Oakland A’s system, allowing fans to see future stars up close.
