The Lake Erie Crushers (the Grapes) are a professional baseball club headquartered in Avon, Ohio. They started play as an expansion team in 2009 and participated in the Frontier League (FL) as members of the West Division. In their first season, the Crushers took home the 2009 Frontier Cup. After dropping the series' first two games, they overcame the River City Rascals three games to two. 

The Crushers also made it to the Frontier League postseason in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2019. During that time period, they were able to reach the Frontier League Championship Series once, but they were defeated by the Schaumburg Boomers in three games to none.

Edelson auctioned the franchise to Tom & Jacqueline Kramig of Blue Dog Baseball LLC in February 2016. Along with the City of Avon, the Kramigs are on-site owners/operators scheduled for many major renovations to the team and the ballpark. The Lake Erie Crushers debuted their logos and jerseys on March 15, 2017, with hints of Great Lakes region winemaking. Black and crimson gave way to purple and white instead.
