Florida State University has been represented by the Florida State Seminoles in American football since 1902. History, combat songs, and the traditional Seminole colors have all become cultural icons. Currently, Mike Norvell is the team's coach. Doak Campbell Stadium, often known as Bobby Bowden Field, is the home field for the Seminoles. The Seminoles have won six national titles (1987, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1999, and 2013).
