FedEx St. Jude Championship Information
The FedEx St. Jude Classic is an annual professional golf tournament held in Memphis, Tennessee, as part of the PGA Tour. Beginning in 1958 and continuing until 2018, the event was hosted yearly at TPC Southwind, and beginning in 1989, it was contested in June.
In 2019, FedEx assumed the World Golf Championship Invitational sponsorship and moved the tournament to Memphis in late July. The WGC tournament renamed the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, retained the charity ties it had previously established with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
At the beginning of the 2022 season, the World Golf Championship Invitational was canceled, and the first FedEx Cup playoff event was moved to TPC Southwind. FedEx became the new title sponsor for this tournament and was renamed the FedEx St. Jude Championship upon its relocation.
