The DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team represents DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. The team plays in NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball. Their conference of choice is the Big East. DePaul hasn'tlast won the NCAA tournament in 2004. The team has gone 1-2 in the NCAA tournament in the 30 years since the 1991–92 season ended.

Wintrust Arena, located within the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago's Near South Side, is the site of home games for the Blue Demons. For the 2015–2016 basketball season, the team rehired Dave Leitao as head coach. In his first year back with the Blue Demons, the squad posted a 9-22 record.

In Leitao's second year with the Blue Demons, the 2016–2017 campaign ended with a 9–23 record. After 37 years, the DePaul Blue Demons have decided that this will be their final season playing at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Blue Demons relocated back to Chicago for the 2017-2018 season, playing their home games at the 10,387-seat Wintrust Arena in the McCormick Place convention center.

The team's 2018-2019 season was a turnaround, as the Demons ended with a 19-17 record. In his fourth year as head coach, Leitao guided the Blue Demons to the 2019 College Basketball Invitational postseason tournament. As a result of losing games one and three against the Bulls in the Best of Three Championship series, DePaul finished in second place.

Tony Stubblefield was appointed on April 1, 2021, to be the head coach. He has experience as an assistant coach, having worked for Oregon before.
