Chivas Guadalajara, a football team based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, competes professionally. The squad plays in Liga MX, the highest level of football in Mexico. There are ten original teams in the Primera División, and Guadalajara is one of only seven that has never been demoted.
