The Charleston Classic is the annual college basketball tournament held at the TD Arena on the College of Charleston's campus. Established in 2008, it takes place each November and features eight teams from across the NCAA conferences. It is one of the best early-season tests, highlighting basketball in all its various styles and showing teams ways to prepare for the regular season.

The event is structured as a bracketed event, where each team plays three games over 4 days. This format includes a championship game and placement matches so that every team plays against competition at multiple levels. Florida, Xavier, and Virginia Tech are among the past winners of the tournament, which has been highly competitive so far.

The Charleston Classic has elevated its stature, drawing teams that spend much of the year at the top in the NCAA and making it an event as important to the teams competing and college basketball fans.
