BYU Cougars Womens Soccer Information
The Brigham Young University Cougars women's soccer team competes in the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference. The squad competed as a club sport before the 1995 campaign. Jennifer Rockwood coaches the team, which has made 23 NCAA Tournament appearances and four College Cup Quarterfinals in 2003, 2012, 2019, and 2021. South Field on the university campus hosts team home games.
From its inception until 1995, the BYU Cougars women's soccer team competed under the Western National Collegiate Club Soccer Association (NCCSA). Throughout that span, they competed in the NSCAA Championship twice, in 1993 and 1994. Before entering the NCAA in 1995, Jennifer Rockwood guided the BYU Women's soccer team for seven seasons.
Since joining the NCAA, BYU has often been rated among the top 25. For twenty-three of the twenty-eight years, they have qualified for the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars have produced 38 All-Americans to this day, and eight of their many players have played professionally after graduating from the program.
