Basketball Hall of Fame College Series Information
The Hall of Fame Classic is an annual tournament starting the NCAA Division I collegiate basketball season. The Missouri Tigers won the first tournament in 2001, defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes in the final game.
The event is held in November and features twelve teams from different leagues competing. Furthermore, the induction of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame will be honored on this occasion. Every team vying for the event will host the first two rounds of the tournament out of regional sites. The last round will thus take place in the state of Missouri at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The championship round is divided into two days: the first day consists of two semifinal games and the second day includes the championship game and the consolation game. The Kansas Jayhawks, Creighton Bluejays, and Missouri Tigers have all emerged triumphant in this tournament more than once.
