XG - Xtraordinary Girls Information
XG, an abbreviation for "Xtraordinary Girls," is a group of Japanese females who now call South Korea home. A division of Avex, Xgalx, was instrumental in forming the group. Everyone from Jurin and Chisa to Hinata and Juria and Cocona and Maya and Harvey makes up the group of seven. On March 18, 2022, they dropped their first digital song, "Tippy Toes," to mark their debut. "Mascara" was their second single in English, and it was released on June 29.
They made their television debut on Mnet's M Countdown in South Korea, where they performed the single. XG dropped the Galz Xypher rap cipher video on November 17. After becoming viral on an XG fan account, the video gained 15 million views on TikTok. Along with the release of "Shooting Star'' and the accompanying music video, XG also dropped an extra track called "Left Right'' on January 25, 2023. This was their third all-English single.
The third and last pre-release single from XG's first EP, New DNA, "New Dance," and its music video were released on August 23. The first track, "Puppet Show," and its music video were released on September 27 with XG's debut EP New DNA. For shipments of over 100,000 copies, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) recognized the EP as gold.
