WWE Fastlane Information
WWE Fastlane is an annual professional wrestling event hosted by WWE in Stamford, Connecticut. Live coverage of the event has been accessible on PPV and the WWE Network since 2015 and on the Peacock platform since 2021. When it was relocated to March in 2017, it became the first WWE PPV in March that wasn't WrestleMania.
When WWE first presented Fastlane on February 22, 2015, in Memphis, Tennessee, it was streamed live on the WWE Network and shown on pay-per-view (PPV). It took the place of the Elimination Chamber in the 2015 calendar year; from 2010 to 2014, the Elimination Chamber was conducted in February, and in 2015, it was moved to May.
The event was titled "Fastlane" because it falls halfway along WWE's "Road to WrestleMania" between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, spanning two months.
WWE announced their PPV schedule for 2022 in October 2021, and Fastlane was not on the list. On January 17, 2022, the Elimination Chamber was announced as the to-be-announced event for February. As a result, Fastlane was abruptly canceled with no prior warning.
Since Fastlane would take place six months after WrestleMania 39, the "Road to WrestleMania" theme was dropped when WWE announced its return on June 20, 2023, for October 7.
