We Are Scientists Information
The rock band We Are Scientists was originally established in Berkeley, California, in 2000 and has since relocated to New York City. Guitarist/vocalist Keith Murray, bassist Chris Cain, and drummer Keith Carne have been the core members since 2013.
Not counting their debut album Safety, Fun, and Learning (In That Order), which the band has since described as more of a rough draft than a complete album, the band has released seven studio albums. The band's first studio album, With Love and Squalor, became a commercial hit after only six months on the market. Following this were the years 2008 (with Brain Thrust Mastery), 2010 (with Barbara), 2014 (with TV en Français), 2016 (with Helter Seltzer), and 2018 (with Megaplex).
Keith and Chris's comedic chops are as well-known as their musical ones; they frequently sprinkle in quips and humorous asides throughout interviews, press conferences, and performances. This has spilled over into the creation of their podcast series dubbed Dumpster Dive in 2020 and their 2009 MTV short film series Steve Wants His Money.
