Tsai Chin Information
Tsai Chin is a Taiwanese pop and folk singer who vocalizes in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien. Among her hits are "Forgotten Times," "Just Like Your Tenderness," "The Last Night," "Reading You," and "The Spirit of Your Eyes." She remained well-liked in Mainland China even though her pinnacle of fame in Taiwan was from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s.
The 2002 smash Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs and its follow-up extensively incorporate Tsai's song "Forgotten Times" in their narrative thread. Apart from clarifying the central idea of the movies, the song functions significantly in temporally linking several parts of the narrative.
The Hong Kong division of IFPI presented Tsai's albums Tsai Chin Live 2007 and Golden Voice with a "Top-10-Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year" award at the 2007 IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards.
