Themba, a native of South Africa, exploded onto the international dance scene in 2018. He has done several high-profile shows and released many albums this year. His music draws inspiration from his African heritage, with the help of local musicians, singers, and percussionists, to create his distinctive take on house and techno.
In the spring, Knee Deep In Sound will release his debut EP, and he has already remixed Black Coffee and Nick Curly for the label. Look out for a new Themba EP on Yoshitoshi this summer, and stay tuned for further announcements. Themba will be performing at several prestigious venues during 2018. In December, he debuted alongside Black Coffee at Shimmy Beach Club South Africa. He returned in January and again for the Resistance stage at Ultra Festival in February.
He played at Elrow and the Corona Sunset festival SA in March and will be supporting Faithless on their South African tour in April. Beginning with Black Coffee's inaugural party at Hi, he will also play at the Bridges For Music event at Heart with Dubfire and Hot Since 82's Labyrinth party at Pacha, among other upcoming Ibiza appearances.
