The Skivvies Information
The Skivvies is a duo composed of Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina. They are singers, musicians, and actors who perform “stripped down” arrangements on hit songs and original tunes while stripping down to their underwear. The two have had residencies at several venues, including 54 Below, The Highline Ballroom, 42 West, and Joe’s Pub. The Skivvies have reviews from many established publishers such as The Wall Street Journal, People, Playbill, The New York Post, The New York Times, Theatermania, OUT Magazine, and Sports Illustrated.
The Skivvies come from an extensive background of musical theatre. Molina has delivered many performances on Broadway in Sweeney Todd and Rock of Ages, while Cearley has performed in the 1st National Tour of All Shook Up. The duo has appeared in shows together and off-Broadway in Sex Tips for Straight Women and a Gay Man. Molina and Cearley also acted as Brad and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show that took place at Bucks County Playhouse and was directed by Hunter Foster.
The Skivvies have made appearances in pilots for FOX, A&E, and WE. They have performed several times at fundraising events such as Broadway Bares, where the money was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Some of the Skivvies’ notable guest performers include Nick Wyman, Randy Harrison, Drew Lachey, Keala Settle, Lena Hall, Nick Adams, Lesli Margherita, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
