The New Motif combines improvisation with deep psychedelic sounds in their jam/funk genres. A vivacious blend of expertly shredded guitar, emotive saxophone, and painstakingly built keyboard talents. Their intricate, funk-infused bass and drums produce the 'reciprocal boogie' and captivate audiences with their addictive rhythms. Their vast original repertoire creates complex jams and unforgettable moments filled with energy and excitement when they perform live. This past autumn, Alan Evans recorded and produced 'The Reciprocal Boogie' by The New Motif at Iron Wax Studios.
This album is a psychedelic jam-rock masterpiece with funk elements. On January 26, 2019, Thunder Road Music Club & Rock n Roll Bistro hosted the record release celebration in Somerville, MA. The band's 'The Reciprocal Boogie' Winter Tour, which will take them throughout New England and New York, started with two local shows on March 7 at Philadelphia's The Music Ward and March 8 in West Chester, Pennsylvania's Sprout Music. At Plymouth, Massachusetts's The Spire Center for the Performing Arts, the tour ended on March 29.
