Marcos Efraín Masís Fernández (August 9, 1989), better known by his stage name Tainy, is a Puerto Rican record producer and singer who was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His work on Mas Flow 2 broke him into the reggaeton scene.
Over the past decade, Tainy has been responsible for a musical revolution in Latin America and produced some of the most popular reggaeton songs of all time. Tainy, a multiple-time winner of both the Grammy and the BMI Awards, has created music for innumerable musicians, including Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Daddy Yankee, and many more.
Oasis, Tainy's collaboration with Bad Bunny and Balvin, topped the charts worldwide and propelled Tainy to the position of top Latin producer on the Billboard charts for 27 weeks in a row. "Callaíta" was a huge hit, and Tainy and Bad Bunny worked together on it.
Justin Bieber's "Habitual," "Feel It Too" (with Jessie Reyez and Tory Lanez), and "Lento," the debut Latin single by Lauren Jauregui, are all songs that Tainy has produced. Jauregui and C. Tangana's "Nada" was released on February 21, 2020.
Neon16 was founded in 2019 by Tainy and music executive Lex Borrero. Álvaro Díaz, an artist from Puerto Rico, and Dylan Fuentes, an artist from Colombia, are now signed to Neon16's roster. The label portion of the company is described as a "multifaceted talent incubator" by Interscope Records.
