Super Diamond - The Neil Diamond Tribute Information
Super Diamond is a Neil Diamond tribute band founded in 1993 in San Francisco. The group's current lineup includes guitarist Chris Collins, vocalist Randy Cordeiro (Surreal Neil), bass guitarist Matt Tidmarsh, keyboardist Rama Kolesnikow keyboardist James Terris, and drummer Vince Littleton. The early performances by Super Diamond in San Francisco were at notorious alternative rock venues, including Paradise Lounge, the DNA Lounge, and Slim’s. The group progressed to performing regularly at The Great American Music Hall, The Fillmore, and Bimbo’s 365 Club.
Super Diamond has been featured in numerous nationally published articles and appeared on the David Letterman Show. Some of the band's early shows were at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, the Crocodile in Seattle, and the House of Blues in West Hollywood. The group has also performed at 930 Club in Washington DC, House of Blues in Chicago, Irving Plaza in New York City, Ogden Theater in Denver, and The Paradise Rock Club in Boston.
Super Diamond has even performed countless shows with symphony orchestras around the country including Pacific Symphony, Utah Symphony, Modesto Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Santa Rosa Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, Tucson Symphony, The Desert Symphony - Palm Desert, Pittsburgh Symphony, and many more. Super Diamond - 14 Great Hits of Neil Diamond 1998 and Super Diamond - Live on the Rocks 2001 are the only two discographies by Super Diamonds.
