Stephanie Catherine Miller (September 29, 1961) is an American comedian, political commentator, and program host. Miller began her professional career in the entertainment industry at the illustrious Laugh Factory in Hollywood, where she worked for owner Jamie Masada in various capacities, including answering phones, placing names on the marquee, serving cocktails, and even doing stand-up comedy.
When the Chicago Improv Club originally debuted, she was the first comedian to perform there. Furthermore, in the early 1990s, she gave a one-woman Off-Broadway performance while residing in New York City. In 2003, after returning to Los Angeles from New York City, Miller also had a performance at the Laugh Factory. Before performing in front of a crowd, Miller claims to converse with her late father.
Miller always intended to be an actress; she dreamed of having her own sitcom and even dabbled in filmmaking for a while. She began her acting career with a few bit parts, including a nun in the 1984 TV film Shattered Vows and a short stint on General Hospital. View from the Top and an episode of Diagnosis: Murder is only two examples of the self-portraits she played after she became famous as a radio and television host.
