Makenzie and Zak originally connected over their love of traditional bluegrass music. Still, their shared commitment to living in the present and their fascination with life's challenges have kept them going strong. Shovelin Stone's new lineup includes multi-instrumentalist Russick Smith on bass, cello, and mandolin and rock drummer Brett Throgmorton.
