Shahkar Bineshpajooh (December 13, 1972) is an Iranian singer, composer, translator, and poet born in Tehran, Iran. Bineshpahjooh has translated the works of Pablo Neruda and Bertolt Brecht into Persian and played with orchestras around Europe and North America. The Iranian government has banned some of his books. Bineshpahjooh's academic background includes work in urban planning, music composition, and political geography.
Both "Your Majesty," the music Bineshpajooh developed and recorded in 2005, and his book "I am not Politicized" were blocked that year. In addition, he published a translation of Bertolt Brecht's collected poetry titled "Mr. Prime Minister." "The Humans Lineage," Bineshpajooh's latest book, was banned that same year (2006). The album "Literature of Another Ilk" was issued with only six originally planned 23 tracks. Recording for Shahkar's next album with Bineshpajooh began in Paris in 2007.
The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra featured his talents in 2009. With the help of maestro Shardad Rohani, Bineshpajooh began recording the pieces "Havaye Esgh" and "Hala to Khabi" in 2011.
