Sasheer Zamata Moore (May 6, 1986) is professionally known as Sasheer Zamata. She is an American actress and comedian from Okinawa, Japan, who was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Zamata graduated from Pike High School and attended the University of Virginia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and became a founding member of the University's long-form improv comedy troupe named Amuse Bouche. She also participated in the Disney College Program for a semester while attending UVA.
Since 2009, Zamata has regularly performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City. She also co-starred in the hidden camera series by ABC News Primetime: "Would You Fall For That?" and was a cast member on MTV's series "Hey Girl." Other television shows that featured Zamata is Beyonce as a Mommy, Jest Originals, CollegeHumor Originals, Above Average Presents, UCB Comedy Originals, Saturday Night Live, Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, People of Earth, The Special Without Brett Davis, Sasheer Zamata: Pizza Mind, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and many more.
Zamata also appeared in a video game as Sally, named Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: Zombies in Spaceland in 2016. A few of her notable filmographies are Michelle Obama's Breaking Point, Tyra Banks Exclusive 2010, Best Buy Real Home Theater Experience, Intimate Semaphores, The Jay Z Story, Deidra & Laney Rob a Train, The Outdoorsman, and The Weekend.
Zamata became a celebrity ambassador to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in 2015. Zamata also began to work with the Women's Rights Project. A few of her notable celebrity impressions have included Solange Knowles, Diana Ross, Lupita Nyong'o, Rihanna, Michelle Obama, and Nicki Minaj.
