The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus celebrates 39 years of Dr. Charles Beale's leadership as they use music to improve people's lives. Lincoln Center, the Super Bowl, and the White House are among its performance venues; it has over 100 current members and 300 alumni, making it one of the biggest LGBT choruses in the world.
Through their electric performances, they want to develop community support, inspire social change, and amuse and engage the audience through song.
Each chorus member contributes to the group's success in three ways. First, create a safe space for members to express themselves creatively and personally within a supportive musical family. Second, by bringing attention to pressing social issues and the connections that bind us all. Lastly, by motivating individuals to effect good change in their neighborhoods.
