Salute to Vienna is an American New Year concert held annually. The concert first premiered in Toronto 1995, and today, it is presented every year in over 20 major cities of North America. The performance during the concert is delightful, reminiscent of the famous and beloved Newjahrskonzert of Vienna. Over the years, Salute to Vienna has strengthened its roots into the largest produced live concert series in North America.
Salute to Vienna has been recognized as an official trademark of Attila Glatz Concert Productions since 1995. In April 2013, Salute to Vienna was recorded in the historic Wiener Konzerthaus. The recording was co-hosted by Frederica von Stade, an internationally renowned mezzo-soprano, and Maximilian Schell, an Academy Award-winning actor.
Salute to Vienna features over 130 performers that include dancers from the Association Vienna State Opera Ballet, The Vienna Boys Choir, the Symphony Orchestra Boys Choir, and Volksoper.
