Lincoln, Nebraska's Salt Creek, plays alternative rock. The four-piece band consists of Chase Thompson, Nathan Richardson, Zach Chrastil, and Nathan Skinner, and they create introspective, driving, and surprisingly accessible music influenced by 90s grunge and their midwestern upbringing.
Salt Creek takes its name from a river in the area and draws lyrical inspiration from local events and landmarks. The band has earned acclaim for crafting songs with the heart and soul that classic rock is known for by looking back at their roots and forward to where they are now.
The band has put out two EPs since the beginning of 2017, gained a dedicated fanbase, and signed with Tooth & Nail Records. Their subsequent EP and full-length album are more energetic and direct, with the same amplified guitar tones and sharp bass lines that fans are accustomed to, but with an added artistic element that appeals to the human soul.
