Rob Baird is an American country artist, singer, and songwriter born in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2005, Baird relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, to attend Texas Christian University. He earned a degree in Entrepreneurial Management from the university. While he was still studying, Baird recorded his debut project when he was 21. The album entitled “Blue-Eyed Angels,” produced by Scott Davis, and featuring musicians from Hayes Carll’s band. Initially, he featured singles, including “Could Have Been My Baby” and “Fade Away.”
Baird released his next album in 2012 entitled “I Swear It’s The Truth.” The album was named one of the top twenty albums of the year by Spin Magazine. The album featured the hit single, “Dreams and Gasoline,” which was featured in the ABC drama Nashville and added to “The Highway” by XM. The single’s video was filmed in Joshua Tree, California.
Lifetime television channel featured Baird’s “More Than Willing” on its drama television series Army Wives. He has been touring actively over the years with Don Williams, The Steeldrivers, Billy Joe Shaver, and Jason Isbell. Baird relocated to Austin, Texas, in 2015, where he recorded his third album entitled “Wrong Side of the River.” It was released on May 13, 2016, on Baird’s label, Hard Luck Recording Company. In May 2012, he was featured in Billboard’s “Spotlight” section, covering the release of “I Swear It’s the Truth.” Baird released his fourth album, After All, on January 11, 2019.
