Rich Little Information
Richard Caruthers Little (November 26, 1938) is a Canadian-American voice actor and impressionist from Ottawa, Ontario. "The Man of a Thousand Voices" is a nickname that was given to him. Little attended Lisgar Collegiate Institute, and during his early teens, he formed a partnership with Geoff Scott. The two of them concentrated on reproducing Canadian politicians' voices such as Ottawa mayor Charlotte Whitton and Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.
Little started his career when he was eleven, appearing in two documentary movies for Crawley Films of Ottawa. Little began his official acting career at the Ottawa Little Theatre. He won his first acting award at the Eastern Ontario Drama Festival, which took place in Deep River.
Some of the notable appearances made by Richard Caruthers Little were in Pick the Stars (a national talent contest broadcast by CBC Television), The Jackie Rae Show, CBS's The Judy Garland Show, The Rich Little Show (on CBC radio), ABC-TV's Judy Carne sitcom Love on a Rooftop, and The Flying Nun I. Additionally, he was sighted on variety shows hosted by Ed Sullivan, Mike Douglas, George Burns, Jackie Gleason, Rudy Vallee, and Al Hirt.
Little was a semi-regular on The Julie Andrews Hour in 1972–73, an Emmy-winning ABC-TV variety series. He was also a regular visitor to The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts, where he roasted celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, Jimmy Stewart, and Kirk Douglas.
