Rachid Badouri (October 16, 1976) is a Canadian comedian born in Laval, Quebec, to immigrants of Moroccan Berber origin. Badouri was educated at College Montmorency in his hometown Laval, Quebec. During his college years, Badouri had his first experience of performing on a stage.
This early experience took him to appear on his first big appearance at Just for Laughs festival. The event was taking place in Montreal in 1999. Badouri has also appeared in several comedic advertisements in Quebec Media throughout his comedy career, whether print media, radio, or television.
Badouri has won several awards for his remarkable comedy talent. In 1999, he was awarded Craven A award with Ecole Nationale de L'Humour and also secured third place in Just For Laughs Gala. In 2005, he received Revelation of the Year at Just for Laughs festival. He was also honored with Discovery of the Year at the Oliviers Gala, received the Performance of the Year award at Olivier's's gala in 2008, and in 2009 he was certified double platinum for selling vast amounts of tickets in just months in Quebec.
