Peter Mayer is an American recording artist, songwriter, touring musician, vocalist, and guitarist based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is best known for creating soulful and compelling music for some electrifying live performances. Mayer is also known as a lead guitarist in the Coral Reefer Band of Jimmy Buffett. He has shared the stage with big industry names such as Joe Walsh, Dave Matthews, Don Henley, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and James Taylor. Mayer has both an eastern and western upbringing, which’s why these regions’ music mostly influences his music.
Mayer’s music travels over jazz guitar, pop, classical music, church hymns, and rock n’ roll. He released his debut album in 1988 for Warner Brothers Records with the group PM. He worked with producer Elliott Scheiner as well. Single from the album named “Piece of Paradise” reached number eight on the Billboard. In 1988, he also started touring with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer band. Mayer tours regularly with his band and Peter Mayer Group, Stars & Promises Christmas, and Peter & Brendan.
