Pauly Shore Information
Paul Montgomery Shore (February 1, 1968) is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker; the Weasel is his pseudonym. Shore is from Los Angeles, California, and the son of Mitzi Shore, who is the founder of The Comedy Store, and Sammy Shore. He attended Beverly Hills High School and made his comedy debut at the age of 17 at the Alley Cat Bistro. Shore was under the mentorship of Sam Kinison and opened several of his sets.
"The Weasel" was an alter ego persona cultivated by Shore while he was touring the comedy club circuit. The persona involved him speaking in surfer parlance, which was heavily peppered with slang, such as "edged," "grinding," and "melons" and the catchphrase "Hey, bu-ddy."
Becoming an on-air VJ at MTV was a big break for Shore. This was a position he held from 1989 to 1994. During his success at MTV, Shore had his show called Totally Pauly while he was serving as a host on MTV's annual Spring Break parties. Shore began his film career in 1992 by starring in "Lisa, Lisa, the One I Adore." His roles that followed are Son in Law (1993), In the Army Now (1994), Bio-Dome (1996), Jury Duty (1995), and many more.
