Pancho Barraza Information
Francisco Javier Barraza Rodríguez (June 18, 1961) is a Mexican singer-songwriter. He goes by the stage name Pancho Barraza. Rodríguez was born in the Juan Jose Rios, the Guasave, Sinaloa neighborhood.
After settling in Mazatlán, he started listening to and performing traditional Mexican music. Before joining the brass bands Banda San Sebastian and Banda Camino, Barraza was the lead singer for a local grupero band.
In 1991, he took over lead vocals for the band Banda Los Recoditos. After a few years, Barraza left Banda Los Recoditos to start his career as a solo artist. His first solo record, Mis Canciones De Amor, came out in 1995.
Barraza's solo success has taken off since then, and he has released many hit number-one albums and songs. Barraza became famous all over Mexico because of how well he did in the country's cities and smaller towns. The Mexican art world significantly recognizes and appreciates his work because of his contributions.
