OV7 Information
OV7, also known as La Onda Vaselina, was a Mexican Latin pop group that started in 1989 but gained popularity in the early 1990s. The members of La Onda Vaselina were originally minors when they established the group. Still, they became known as "OV7" as adults following a breakup and subsequent reunion in the late 1990s.
The seven-piece group OV7 is still considered a major force in Latin music after a 30-year career that yielded several singles in the region. Since there were only seven band members when they reformed in the late '90s, the "7" in OV7 stood for "Onda Vaselina 7," the name given to the surviving members.
In 2003, the band went their separate ways. They got back together in 2010. In 2023, the band announced they would disband for an undetermined time.
