Nathan Colberg Information
26-year-old Nathan Colberg is a songwriter and vocalist from Charlottesville, Virginia. Colberg has never taken music lessons, although he grew up improvising on the piano. However, when he was in college, he realized he had a knack for and a genuine interest in songwriting. During his final year at the University of Virginia, he started playing some of his original songs for friends and family in intimate settings like living rooms and parties.
His east coast following exploded in response to his honest compositions, infectious melodies, and flawless vocals. Colberg's first headlining tour was scheduled to begin in March 2020, and he was prepared to hit the ground running after a string of successful early career performances. Unfortunately, the rest of his east coast tour would have to wait....two more years after his first engagement at a sold-out Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville.
A pop-inspired project was on Colberg's list of things to do while he was quarantined for what seemed like an eternity. He flew to Los Angeles in the spring of 2021 to implement the notion. They finished a six-song EP with producer Jason Mater and called it "Dream On, Kid." The title is a subtle jab at his writing ambitions and an encouragement to press on when all seems lost.
