Mersey Beatles are an American rock n roll tribute paying ensemble born on the banks of the Mersey River. The group’s current lineup consists of Steven Howard, Mark Bloor, Brian Ambrose, Craig McGown, and Tony Cook. The first three members attended high school together in Liverpool. The band is currently regarded as the world’s best-loved Beatles tribute, playing for 20 years.
The Mersey Beatles have been rocking massive sold-out audiences worldwide since 1999. The group members pride themselves on being lifelong friends. Their shared passion for the greatest band of all time, the Beatles, shines through each performance. For more than a decade (2002-2012), this tribute band was the resident Beatles’ tribute at the world-famous Cavern.
The Mersey Beatles have taken their pulsating and unmistakable ‘Mersey Beat’ sound to the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The band members are celebrated for remembering their roots no matter where they perform. They also pride themselves on presenting the Fab Four authentically, ranging from the ‘Mop Top’ hits of Beatlemania, through the melodic wonder of the Fab Four’s later work to the psychedelic creativity of Sgt Pepper.
