Mehdi Bousaidan Information
Mehdi Bousaidan (September 20, 1991) is a Quebec screenwriter, improviser, and comedian born in Algiers, Algeria, and completed his graduation from the National School of Humor in Montreal. He is also known as the finalist of the “On the way to my first Just for Laughs” competition. Bousaidan was the main character of the television series “Med” broadcasted on VRAK TV since January 2015.
Bousaidan arrived in Quebec when he was just five. He was a communication and media student at College Montmorency in Laval, and in 2009, he launched and hosted the Momo Comedie Club. Additionally, Bousaidan made a few appearances on Couscous Comedy Show in 2012.
Bousaidan was noticed majorly in Europe when he participated in the Mondial improvisation in 2013, which took place in Belgium. The Quebec team was the world champion. He declined the invitations to Jamel Comedy Club and Ale Rire after a stint on stage at the Comedy Club in Brussels, Festival du Rire in Cavaillon, and Theatre de Dix heures in Paris.
Bousaidan was a finalist in the television competition “En route vers mon premier gala Juste pour rire” in 2014 and has appeared in a few films so far, including From father to cop 2 (2017), Med (2015), Heading for Summer! (2014), and The evening is (still) young (2014). His distinctions in improvisations include LACI – The most correction combination (2014), Flig – Seasonal Champion (2012), Ligue Pamplemousse – player of the year (2011), and IiRTA – Winning Team: PICKLES de Regina – Assumpta (2008).
