Maverick City Music Information
Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay co-founded the Atlanta-based contemporary worship music group Maverick City Music. Maverick City, Vol. 1, and Vol. 2 Maverick City are the first extended plays by the group, both released in 2019. The singles "Man of Your Word" and "Promises" were featured on the live albums Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1 and Maverick City Vol. 3 Pt. 2 by Maverick City Music in 2020.
You Hold It All Together (2020) was the first EP the collective issued in collaboration with Upperroom; the following year, Maverick City Christmas (2020) was released in the spirit of the holidays. Move Your Heart, their second EP with Upperroom, and Old Church Basement, their CD with Elevation Worship, were two of the many products released by Maverick City Music that year.
It included the commercially successful and critically acclaimed singles "Jireh," "Talking to Jesus," and "Wait on You," as well as the critically acclaimed album Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition. The Grammy, Dove, Billboard, and Soul Train Music Awards are just some of the honors Maverick City Music has received.
